OILY SKIN
Overproduction of sebum, which is the natural oil of skin produced by the sebaceous gland, leads to oily skin. Skin appears more shiny and pores are enlarged. There are more chances of acne and black heads.
If oily skin runs in the family, you are more likely to have more active sebaceous glands. Hormonal fluctuations may also cause increased sebum production. Diet high in refined sugar and dairy products, hot and humid climate can also lead to oily skin.
Inappropriate skin care products, stress, overwashing and certain medication can increase sebum production
